Getting Acquainted With My Spiritual Self

“I am in this world but not from it…”

I now am consciously aware that I am in this world but not in it to stay. The majority of our suffering comes from our attachment to things, to ideas, to outcomes, to values, to our perception of reality creating emotional confusion. Being consciously aware of death – that in one of these moments that make up life, I will leave – will lead me to freedom of being. Everything is important but the true importance of everything is not that we are going to keep it but rather utilize it and enjoy it to create eternal memories. Everything I will ever have – think I have – in this physical world will stay behind after I leave, the only thing I will take with me is that which I have become and the memories of that which I experienced.

“I am not what I appear to be…”

I need to be careful not to get confused and attached to what appears to be me. I am not this body but rather ‘that’ which travels through this body. I am not the result of those I call mother and father, I am consciousness, I am spirit, I am ‘one’ with the Source, I am God in motion. My ultimate teaching here is to understand the responsibility behind this state of being, meaning, I am a creator and all I do while here is create. If I become consciously aware of each and every moment of my life then I will be able to see and feel what I am creating, therefore know what to expect along my journey. Every action produces an equal and opposite reaction, reactions are what make us feel pain or pleasure not actions. Living in the present moment ‘fully’ is being consciously aware of our actions, being consciously aware of our actions is being able to anticipate the reactions.

“There is no punishment only a Universal spherical movement…”

If I decide to rob a bank, or cheat on my wife, or say something bad about somebody or pilfer my associate, these are in reality actions I take, because everything in the universe is circular not linear we cannot live out of the opposite reaction, everything will always come back to us, no matter what it is we decide to do. If you want to know how a person is serving life all you really need to do is to look at how life is serving the person. If someone complains about illness, malaise, accidents, incidents then you know the person in question is operating in a frequency that is given origin to that. Anyone who lies will be lied to by life, anyone who will falsely accuse someone will in turn be falsely accused. You may choose to call it punishment, sin or karma, but ultimately the truth is called ‘reaction’.

“Things are often far from what they appear to be…”

Things are not always what they appear to be; thus it is a waste of time and energy when judging somebody or something. There are no prostitutes or bad people, all there is really is experience and every experience serves a purpose to those who are in the experience. For example, crime in our society is said to be a very bad thing yet what would happen to the ‘wonderful’ and prestigious professions such as Judges, lawyers, detectives, ‘FBI’ agents, police, prison builders, guards, weapons, etc., etc., etc., that crime produces if crime didn’t exist? The so called terrible Ben Laden himself has highly contributed to the creation of so many jobs worldwide. He was an individual who strongly helped governments raising taxes. Things are not what they appear to be, I must not get confused. I will still play the game only that now I know I’m not the game but rather a player in the game. Knowing this will automatically bring clarity into my life which in turn will considerably alter my walk and ultimately change what will manifest along the road I travel.

“Life is a journey not a destination…”

Knowing that life is a journey and not a destination places me in a position of… no rush! No matter what I choose to do with my day I always know where it will end… the day will die and all that is left from it, are memories. So many of us go through the days of our lives running and running trying to get somewhere and yet missing so much. We all know what the destination is we’re all going to die! If that is so, then, I choose from this moment on to walk and dance with life. I invite you to break life into little fragments, instead of counting the days, the months or years – your age – count the precious moments of your walk, think of these moments as if they were ‘bricks’ and with them you’re trying to built a wall. The wall may be your desired destination but all you can really do is place the bricks one-by-one, in reality there’s nothing you can do about the wall.

“What is life all about?”

Life is all about learning, not learning about ‘things’ but rather learning about the meaning of things, in other words, not learn that fire burns, instead, learn the meaning of burning. We are a collective consciousness, an association of thoughts and memories travelling from life to life gathering and collecting data, this data comes about through everything we touch and feel, the more we touch and feel the more data we collect, the more data we collect the more we evolve and expand, the more we expand the more we are able to create, the more we create the more the universe expands. Everything we do and touch, whether we call it good or bad becomes an experience and by no means something we can use to classify ourselves of stupid, ignorant, ridiculous… if I want to know the meaning of burning I must get burned. However, if I find myself going through the same experience over and over again, then I’m simply missing the point. Walking life in awareness will help me avoid repetition.

“Who is thinking and feeling that which I’m thinking and feeling?”

Meditation and/or contemplation is something I strongly suggest you do on a daily bases. Meditate and contemplate on your thoughts and feelings, then ask yourself if they are really yours. The page I am writing on is white I call it white because I was thought to call it that. For so many years sexuality has been classified as something dirty, something meant to procreate period. Although today many of us think differently, I have notice through my practice of holistic-coach that it still is a somewhat taboo to many. Indeed, those who sold us such thoughts had reasons to do so, but if we take a deeper look into the reasons for myths and taboos we find the ‘funnel’ effect, the intent is and most lead to a better control of the masses.

“Who is in control?” (1- the Ego)

In psychoanalysis the ego is the part of the mind that is in touch in the outside world. It operates on rationality and external reality. The Ego is the conscious thought that brings you to hunger, desire, conflict, ambition… it is constantly seeking recognition from the outside world. Ego wants power, glory and image at any cost. Ego is mentioned more now than ever before but the majority of us ignore its presence and dominance capability. Ego is so powerful that it can convert anything to its own use, even spirituality. ‘What to do?’ Ego is in the mind not in the heart therefore we must learn to move from ‘how it looks’ to ‘how it feels’ about anything. The more we use the ‘how it looks’ the more we deceive ourselves into thinking we are developing spirituality when instead we could very well be strengthening our Egocentricity through spiritual techniques. The most dangerous thing about the Ego is its ability to disguise itself. It is so clever it can lead us to believe it is not there. Our Ego is at the origin of our experiences, but it is also what can make us go round and round through life.

“Who is in control?” (2- People-Position-Salary)

Why do we do things the way we do? Who’s really deciding? Among many archetypes the most common are ‘The Victim’ and ‘The Prostitute’. There are people in our lives that because of their position or presence control our decisions, our likes, our dreams… whether they do or not have good intentions in the end they could rob us of our very own personal power, keeping us from living and dealing with our own experiences creating our own memories. Then comes the social or professional position that keeps us from being our true selves leading us to hypocrisy but the same applies to our salary, again, we have to do or be that which our salary tells us to do or be.
